Nah, sunrise sounds more like a honeydew melon in a bowl. Like a straw hat hanging on a hook in the wall, maybe, but that’s a far cry from an unlearnable sutra!

You need to learn to order your thoughts, Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous! But… You are on the right track! An unlearnable sutra has no technically audible sound at all, because all sound waves can be recorded and learned. But an unlearnable sutra is something that comes from within, which resonates on a different level. It cannot be learned, because something that can be learned can also be taught… and, more importantly, you cannot ever really learn it, because it’s a thing that’s constantly evolving with you. It’s the sutra of your own being, and it is your task to understand it!
Aah, I guess I meandered a lot there as well! That probably means I haven’t really understood it myself… We both have a lot to learn still. Let’s work hard on this!

First of all, thank you for the kind and clever words, lyricsimafraidtosing! And since you asked for it, here’s a link to my personal blog! It’s… filled with a lot of pondering and talking to myself, mostly!
The latest post there also contains a news update concerning this blog, but here’s the short version of it:
* I was sick for a long time, and the operation to get rid of the cause is in late March. Once I recuperated from that, I might very well feel more healthy than ever before and might just become more active than ever before!
* I won’t be active at all until then, however. You probably noticed that my last couple updates were extremely rushed. That is because I’m hard at work on a project with higher priority, and a very harsh deadline:
On March 15th, I will be at the Leipzig Book Convention, where, if all goes well, I will be selling a Touhou doujin.
It’s my first time creating a serious, honest-to-goodness comic, and I’ve got very little time left, but I’m doing my best. It will be physically distributed in German, but once I find the time, I will translate it into English and perhaps Japanese as well and distribute it online in all those languages.
I’m sorry for being so neglectful with this blog of mine! I can only humbly ask you for your spiritual support and patience!
So now, as myself, I’ll say “thank you” once more, just for being there, being you, and apparently caring for the things that I create.

This is really embarrassing!
I mean I’m above being embarrassed about little mistakes like that but

Uhm, pretty sure I’ve always been a guy!
But actually, a yamabiko’s personal voice has no effect on their ability to produce echoes!
A yamabiko’s personal voice is just a consequence of their physique, just like any other person’s.
But the ability to manipulate echoes is a magical one!
The yamabiko takes in a sound with their magically precise yamabiko ears, then manipulates the waves of their own shout to take on the same form as the waves of the sound they heard before!
That’s the basic yamabiko skill!
An experienced yamabiko can learn some more complex tricks, like to store a certain number of sounds in their memory, and repeat them from memory at will.
That skill is particularly handy for pranks.
